I’m Glen McCrimmon, founder of McCrimmon Innovation Consulting. I help technology companies and industrial organizations find common ground and move promising ideas forward.
My experience spans innovation, geoscience, strategic planning, stakeholder relations, and governance. At Husky Energy, I served as Chief Geologist and later Chief of Innovation. I began my career with Imperial Oil and served on the Alberta Innovates board from 2021 to 2023.
From 2023 to 2026, I served as Director of Operations at the Clean Resource Innovation Network (CRIN). I led the organization in delivering its mandate to nurture connections among funders, innovators, supporting services, technology adopters, and talent builders working to improve the environmental footprint of Canada’s oil and gas industry. I also planned and led funding calls that connected technology developers with oil and gas operating companies to advance technology development and adoption.
I hold a BSc in Geology from the University of Regina and an MSc in Earth Sciences from the University of Ottawa. Based in Canmore, I’m also an avid cross-country skier and runner.
